Split Node

There are three types of nodes that can split users into different paths in the journey:

  • Check condition
  • Check reachability (only available for BotBonnie channels)
  • AB testing

Check condition

You can create scenarios that are based on user events and attributes in the past and then split users into different paths on the journey map if they meet the conditions of the scenario. If no scenarios are matched, the users will enter the "Not matched" path.

👍

"Check condition" vs "Wait for condition"

Use Check condition when you want to split users based on conditions in the past, which can be user attributes that already exist or events that already happened. If you want to wait for users to complete an event in the future, use Wait for condition instead.

📘

Limitation

Events that happened within 1 hour may not be processed in time to be considered in the Check condition node.

If you create multiple scenarios, the ones closer to the top of the list have higher priority. Users who meet the conditions of multiple scenarios will enter the path of the scenario closer to the top. You can adjust the order of the scenarios by clicking the arrow buttons.

Check reachability

You can split users based on their reachability for the following channels:

  • LINE
  • Facebook Messenger
  • WebChat
  • WhatsApp

Select the channel next to Check if the users are reachable on and select the LINE Official Account. If needed, click Add Channel to add more paths for other channels.

AB testing

Randomly split users into different paths conduct A/B testing, allowing you to identify the most effective journey paths.

  1. (Optional) Check Enable control group to create a control group. Users in the control group will be immediately be redirected to the end of the journey.
  2. Click + Add test path to add alternate journey paths. You can add up to five paths.
  3. Under Traffic allocation, enter the percentage of users that should be sent to each path or click Divide equally to balance traffic equally between all paths, including the control group. The total percentage must add up to 100%.
